Damien Cazé (CIV 1991) appointed President of the 4th Chamber of the Court of Auditors

Damien Cazé (CIV 1991) has been appointed President of Chamber at the Cour des Comptes with effect from September 1, 2025, by decree of the Council of Ministers of August 27, 2025.

A graduate of IEP Paris and ingénieur civil des ponts et chaussées in 1991, Damien Cazé also graduated from Essec in 1996 and is a former student of ENA (promotion Victor Schoelcher 1994-1996).

After graduating from ENA in 1996, he joined the Cour des Comptes, where he was promoted to Conseiller référendaire in 1999, then Conseiller maître in 2012.

In 2002, he was called in as technical advisor to Hervé Gaymard, Minister of Agriculture, and the following year became advisor to Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin's cabinet at Matignon. In 2005, he joined the Ministry of Agriculture as Director of Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture, before being appointed Director of Maritime Affairs at the Ministry of Ecology from 2008 to 2010.

In 2010, he became Deputy CEO of Universcience. He returned to the Cour des Comptes in 2015, and in May 2017 was appointed head of department in the cabinet of Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, in charge of issues relating to ecology, transport, energy, housing and agriculture.

Prior to his appointment as President of the Court's Fourth Chamber, he was Director General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) since 2020.

Damien Cazé is a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor.
