Building is a historic profession for École alumni. Building echoes the École's more recent raison d'être: "Building the worlds of tomorrow". The construction industry is undergoing significant change as a result of the challenges of decarbonization and digitalization. So we need to continue to inspire young students to join the Civil Engineering and Construction (CEC) program.
Orientation of the Ponts Construction group:
The aim is to orient this professional group towards the link between history (building, design, development, etc.) and the desirable future of construction and the world (eco-building, eco-design).
Ponts Construction's focus is on eco-construction and the decarbonization of the building and public works sector in a cross-sectoral manner:
Buildings,
Infrastructure (land, sea and river transport, etc.),
Energy (dams, power plants, renewable energies, etc.).
Ponts Construction will focus on 3 activities:
Visits to construction sites and start-ups,
Testimonials and conferences: themed conferences, alumni testimonials...
Networking
We'll try to do 1 event a month outside vacations, organized as a team, i.e. 9 events a year.
