Program of visits on June 1 and 2 in Marseille

Thursday, June 1, 2017

  • 08:00: optional visit to theÉcole de la Marine Marchande with its Director, Mr. Th CHAMPION, its simulator and its educational thermal power plant.

  • 10:59 am : arrival at Marseille Saint-Charles by TGV from Paris departing at 7:38 am, or other means

  • 11:15 am: all participants meet at the foot of the CMA-CGM Tower

  • 11.30am to 1.30pm: CMA-CGM: welcome by Mr Benoit TOURNEBIZE, Deputy Head of Communications, tour of the CMA-CGM building, presentations in the auditorium on markets, the Group, its achievements and prospects with Mr Thierry BONNETETE, Head of CMA-CGM academy, and Mr Luc PORTIER, Head of CMA-CGM Research.

  • 1:30pm: Lunch on the go in the Joliette district. Bus pick-up.

  • 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Grand Port Maritime de Marseille: welcome by Mrs. Christine CABAU, Chairman of the Board, presentations in the hall, followed by coach tours of the eastern part of the Port, outlook.

  • Around 8:00 pm: Restaurant in the Vieux Port area, with individual payment on site. Hotel to be booked by oneself for the night of June 1 to 2. 2 fellow speakers will talk about MRE in the Mediterranean and their companies: Paul de la Guerivière from Idéol and Denis Pitance/CharlesSmadja from Nenuphar.


Friday June 2, 2017

  • 8:00 departure by coach from Marseille vieux Port to Fos.

  • 9:30 am: Eurofos, welcome and presentation by CEO Mr Nicolas GAUTHIER (IPEF), coffee break, presentation by Logirhone (interface with the Rhone canal) Mr Alain MALIVERNAY, tour of the PortSynergy Projects / Eurofos terminal, remarkable installations and gantries.

  • 12:30 pm: Lunch at Port Saint Louis du Rhône, payment on site.

  • 1:30 pm: Return to Marseille Saint Charles by coach

  • 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm: Marseille City Hall, presentations and debates on city policy in relation to its territories, climate, sea and coastline:

    - Welcome in the 1st Salle des Commissions, by Jean-Claude GONDARD, DGS of the City and Metropolis, (to be confirmed) and by Jean-Charles LARDIC (X75, Ponts 80, Deputy DGS of the City, Director of Foresight)

    - Euroméditerran&e acute;e: presentation of the Opération d'Intérêt National by Frank GEILING, Director of Architecture, Urban Planning and Sustainable Development for Euroméditerranée.

    - Climate: presentation on the Climate Dynamics undertaken by Marseille to promote the emergence of a Mediterranean vision in the fight against climate change, and to assert this vision in international negotiations on climate change.gociations on climate and sustainable development, by Jean ROATTA, Deputy Mayor for International Relations and Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation (to be confirmed) and Jean-Charles LARDIC.

    - Marseille Fos Calanques Committee - Institut Français de la Mer: presentation of activities by Michel BOURHIS, President of the Committee.

    - Marseille coastal and marine policy: presentation by Didier REAULT, Deputy Mayor for the Sea, President of the Parc National des Calanques, and Jean-Charles LARDIC, (former Director of Sustainable Development) with an overview of major achievements (such as the Récifs artificiels du Prado or the creation of the Parc National des Calanques) in their technical/economic and human/institutional dimensions, and the outlook, particularly for water sports in the context of the joint bid with Paris for the 2024 Olympics.

  • 7:02pm, 8:13pm: last trains to Paris for those wishing to catch them.

Details :
Collective transport on site by coach hired by the organizers.
Registration fee: 50 Euros per person paid by card on the mini-site. This fee covers the rental of a coach for the 2 days.
