Her speech followed that ofAnthony Briant, Director of the ENPC, who praised the choice of students for the excellence of the school's teaching and underlined the importance of the alumni network in their professional careers.

A network of expertise and solidarity

Juliette Rocca emphasized the power of the Les Ponts alumni network, both in France and internationally. She pointed out that this human and agile community stands out for its expertise and capacity for innovation in key transition sectors: energy, transport, cities, industry, construction, artificial intelligence and information technologies.

But beyond expertise, Juliette Rocca also highlighted the values of solidarity and conviviality that drive the community. These values are reflected in the various services offered by Ponts Alumni:

  • Career guidance and mentoring for students and recent graduates,
  • Themed conferences organized at the Maison des Ponts,
  • Professional visits organized by the business groups.

A commitment to ecological transition: Atelier 2tonnes

Juliette Rocca's talk was followed by Atelier 2tonnes, a collaborative workshop created by Centrale Lyon engineer François Laugier.François Laugier, an engineer from Centrale Lyon, who is working to empower people by rethinking the way we act together to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The workshop brought together students from the Mastères Spécialisés and PER (Programme Étudiants Réfugiés) programs to project them into a low-carbon future.

The aim? To explore together the individual and collective levers of action needed to achieve a maximum carbon footprint of 2 tonnes per capita by 2050, in line with IPCC recommendations. An initiative that illustrates the commitment of ENPC and Ponts Alumni to training responsible, innovative players capable of meeting the challenges of the ecological transition.
