On October 15, 2025, the AviaPonts group invited its members to an exclusive tour of the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle exchange module, guided by Xavier Dubrac (Aéroports de Paris - Ponts 89, CDG Express Project Director). In a warm, intergenerational atmosphere, some thirty engineers and students from thenieurs des Ponts et Chaussées - from the 1973 to 2027 graduating classes - as well as ADP Group employees, shared this special moment.

Participants discovered the interchange module and its TGV glass roof, a masterpiece by architects Paul Andreu and Jean-Marie Dutilleul, designed in the 1990s. They also explored the construction sites currently underway, in preparation for the arrival of major infrastructures: the direct CDG Express link (scheduled for March 2027), line 17 of the Grand Paris Express (2030), and the Roissy-Picardie link (late 2027). By 2030, the hub is expected to handle more than 30 million passengers a year.

A highlight of the visit was the presentation of the CDG Express tunnel, dug beneath the airport's runways 2 and 4. Its technical ingenuity impressed the audience: a bridge for aircraft on the surface, a tunnel for trains underneath, and a load-bearing structure connecting the two. A shining example of innovation in the service of mobility.

The day ended with a conference on air/rail intermodality and its implications for decarbonization, led by Loïc Marti (ADP, MOA CDG - Ponts 05) and Evan Guenegan (ADP Programme - master Ponts Transport Mobilité 2024). Discussions continued in a relaxed atmosphere during a convivial exchange of views.

Many thanks to all the participants and to Aéroports de Paris for their warm welcome and the originality of this visit, which combined heritage, innovation and conviviality.
