A look back at the event Alumni des Ponts, are you ready to commit to social inclusion?
To take concrete action in favor of social inclusion, in line with the objectives of its charter and the diversity approach (social, territorial, etc.) of the École nationale des ponts et chaussées, Ponts Alumni organized an event on May 19 entitled "S'engager pour l'ouverture sociale - Quelle place pour les étudiants et les Alumni des Ponts?
The aim was to find out more about the initiatives undertaken by the association, the school via Develop'Ponts' Social Openness division, and also the DTGE and Article 1 associations with which Ponts Alumni signed a partnership agreement on this occasion.
Ponts Alumni is committed to :
- Encourage members to get involved with DTGE and Article 1
- Facilitate contact between members of the Alumni Association and DTGE and Article 1
- Facilitate interventions with ENPC students during their studies to present the work of their association.
- Provide Les Ponts Alumni with information on local initiatives undertaken by their association.
Indeed, who better than the alumni of our engineering schools to talk about their studies and their profession, but also to contribute actively to tutoring/mentoring initiatives run by committed associations?
You too can make a commitment to social openness by taking part in concrete initiatives to raise awareness of the sciences as a means of promoting equal opportunity, or by making a donation to support their implementation.
Article 1: a concrete lever for equal opportunity
Today more than ever, young people from working-class backgrounds need support to stay on course in their studies and ensure they have the same opportunities as others in their job search. Your commitment as a volunteer can take the form of distance mentoring, at a rate of 3 hours per month, or the organization of occasional 2-hour group workshops in schools.

Des territoires aux Grandes Ecoles (DTGE): Acting for equal opportunity at the heart of the regions
Every region is unique, and its diversity is a source of wealth. That's why DTGE associations are built by young people from these areas, with the support of head teachers, entrepreneurs and local players. This alchemy enables us to build actions that are adapted to and rooted in the reality of each territory.
As a volunteer, you can :
- Join an existing local association to bring our approach to life on a daily basis in your area.
- Create your own local association: in September of each year, a promotion of new local associations led by local students and graduates is launched.
- Create a committee: from sharing convivial moments to organizing conferences, the role of committees is to raise awareness among Grandes Ecoles students of the challenges of equal opportunity and the development of our regions, and to give everyone the means to get involved.
