X Bretagne in cooperation with X Europe, with the support of Ponts Alumni andENSTA Paris and Bretagne, are pleased to invite you to attend a conference by Pierre Karleskind, consultant for European affairs, former Member of the European Parliament and VP Sea of the Brittany Region , on May 26 in Brest.

Pierre Karleskind will share his experience of Europe and its institutions, and answer our questions. Brian is planning a potluck/dinner in town afterwards with interested parties.

About Pierre Karleskind:

After defending his doctoral thesis on the flow of carbon between the surface and deep oceans, Pierre Karleskind led a professional and political life both centered around the sea. A consultant in marine science and technology for ten years in Brest, he was VP of the Brest metropolitan area, in charge of research and innovation, and VP of the Brittany Region, in charge of Europe, the sea and coastal issues, before being elected to the European Parliament, where he was, among other things, Chairman of the Fisheries Committee. He is now a public affairs consultant.

About the conference:

Pierre Karleskind will share with us his experience of European complexity, not to deplore it, which is all too easy, but to explain it and, above all, to demystify it. He will talk about what he sees as the strengths and weaknesses of this unique construction, as experienced from the inside, and answer questions.
