Wewill have the privilege of welcoming and debating with Yaël Braun-Pivet, elected President of the French National Assembly on June 28, 2022, the first woman in history to accede to the Perch.
She began her career as a criminal lawyer,beforespendingseveral years abroad with her family in Taiwan, Portugal and Japan. On her return to France, she became involved with Restos du Cœur, where shesetup freeconsultationsto give the most disadvantaged access to their rights and to legal information. She then went on to manage a reception center in Sartrouville.
She was elected MP for Yvelines in June 2017 and then President of the National Assembly's prestigious Law Commission in the same year, becoming the second woman to hold this position.
The fight for justice and solidarity are at the heart of his values and permeate his personal and professional commitment.
A committed politician and lawyer, Yaël Braun-Pivet is both a pioneer and a pragmatist: we'll be delighted to hear her views on the place of women in the workplace and in politics, and how to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
Our Breakfasts are open to anyone interested in gender issues, whatever their school, university or studies. Our events are open to men, who need to be involved.
Reception andbreakfast will start at 8am at the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée, 33 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris. Discussions will start at 8.30 a.m. sharp and finish at 10 a.m. We look forward to welcoming many of you.
Proper attire is required to enter the Cercle: a tie for men and no jeans for either men or women.
