Careers Workshop: Non-violent communication

Non-violent communication is an art of living in quality relationships, leading to greater understanding, dialogue and co-construction.

According to its founder, Marshall Rosenberg, the origin of most relational tensions lies in focusing on what's wrong with others, rather than on what's going on within ourselves. This requires clarification work, as well as a communication framework that will modify the way we listen, express ourselves and interact with others.

To ease tensions in a lasting way, we need to learn to communicate our feelings and needs, without aggression or judgment.

Program :

  • Introducing the NVC model
  • Framework and prerequisites
  • Method for expressing feelings and needs
  • Self-empathy exercise based on a freely chosen individual situation
  • Workshop on reacting to an irritating phrase

Objective:
Understand the process of cooperative communication, how to express a sincere and effective message, as well as practice reacting to destabilizing remarks. Practical workshops will provide first-hand experience of emotional management.
In real-life situations, the aim is to express oneself to maximize the chances of being heard, propose levers for cooperation, and ultimately transform tensions into opportunities for dialogue.

Speaker :
Nicolas Beaude (X81), specialist in training and coaching individuals, teams and organizations wishing to develop cooperation and effective cross-functional relations.
From developing postures and methods, to resolving tensions and conflicts to re-establish a collaborative attitude.

Workshop in partnership with AX Carrières.
