Conference: "What technologies are needed to reindustrialize France?

Organised by "Industry Group (French)"

- Over the past twenty years, which industrial technologies have proved successful in France and reached their markets?
- Which have met with less success? Why or why not?
- How can we prepare for the industrial France of tomorrow? With what products and know-how?
- Is exporting a sign of good health, or does it risk overusing national natural resources?
- Is the concept of "decarbonation" still compatible with that of "industrial competitiveness"?

We'll be looking at these and other questions with expert Vincent Charlet, General Delegate of the Fabrique de l'Industrie, a think-tank dedicated to industry and author of numerous reports, including the recent studies entitled"Light and affordable: the keys to a successful electric car" and"Allying industry and rurality: Aurillac - Figeac - Rodez".

La Fabrique de l'industrie is a think-tank dedicated to the outlook for industry in France and internationally. It works on the relationship between industry and local communities, on the attractiveness of industrial professions, on the opportunities and challenges of globalization and technological change, and on industry's competitiveness. Employment, skills and the energy transition are also at the heart of our research. By collaborating with a large number of institutions, it organizes the confrontation of points of view and analyses, an approach that is essential for dealing accurately with a complex reality.

The Fabrique is currently co-chaired by Louis Gallois, former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PSA Groupe, and Pierre-André de Chalendar, former Chairman of Saint-Gobain.

The conference will take place at 7pm at the Maison des Ponts, and will be followed by a cocktail reception.
