BIM is gradually being implemented. One of the challenges of its widespread use is the exchange of PRODUCT data between project owners, contractors, suppliers and distributors.

The interoperability of this data will make it possible to :

• avoid repetitive data entry and make processes more reliable throughout the chain,
• give specifiers and contractors a wide range of choices in terms of the characteristics and performance of materials and products.

The alumni associations of the Ecoles des Mines, des Ponts,ESTP Paris,ENTPE and ESITC, in partnership with Batiactu, are organizing a meeting that will enable all stakeholders in the construction industry to position themselves on this founding stage of the Digital Building Transition.
